Introduction
GitPigeon is a self-hosted comment system that stores comments in your own Git repository. The server is a write gateway and a redacting proxy: no database, no user system, no admin panel.
How it differs from Twikoo / Waline
Twikoo, Waline and Artalk all require a database. GitPigeon does not. The truth lives in Git.

| Storage | your Git repository | database |
| Migration | git clone | export / import |
| Moderation | email plus one click | admin panel |

- Reads always go through the function. Encrypted emails are stripped before any response leaves the server.
- The blog does not rebuild because of comments. Reading is a live
